Privacy Policy
1. Information We Collect
To provide the Service, we collect the following categories of information:
- Account data: your name, email address, and a hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).
- Payment data: card details are collected and stored entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. We store only Stripe's customer and subscription identifiers — never your full card number.
- Wizard profile data: the information you enter during setup to build your public teacher page — instruments you teach, bio, rates, studio city, studio photos, social links, and any reviews you add.
- Usage data: standard server logs (IP, user agent, timestamp) and anonymous analytics through the Polsia analytics beacon.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate and maintain your ProPulse account.
- Send you account-related and transactional emails (signup confirmation, billing, support replies).
- Improve the product through aggregated usage analytics.
- Communicate important policy or service changes.
3. Stripe as Payment Processor
Payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. Stripe collects and processes your card information under its own privacy policy. ProPulse does not see or store your full card number, expiration date, or CVV at any point.
4. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies to run the Service:
- pp_session — authentication cookie that keeps you signed in; expires after 30 days; marked httpOnly and (in production) secure.
- pp_ab_hero — remembers which hero variant you were assigned on the landing page (A/B test); expires after 30 days.
- polsia_vid — anonymous visitor identifier set in your browser's localStorage by the Polsia analytics snippet to count unique visitors without identifying you personally.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:
- Stripe — to process subscription payments.
- Service providers — our hosting (Render) and database (Neon) providers, which are bound by data-processing agreements.
- Legal authorities — when required by valid legal process.
6. Data Retention
We keep your account data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal or accounting obligations (e.g. transaction records). Anonymous backups may persist for a longer period in line with our hosting provider's standard rotation.
7. Your Rights
You can access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time from your dashboard, or by emailing support@trypropulse.com. We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable timeframe.
8. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. The application database is hosted on Neon (PostgreSQL). Access to production data is restricted to the ProPulse team. Despite our efforts, no system is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password for your account.
9. Children's Privacy
ProPulse is a business tool for adult music teachers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor's data has been submitted in error, contact support@trypropulse.com so we can delete it.
10. Changes & Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and display an in-app banner. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Questions about privacy can be sent to support@trypropulse.com.
